What is the definition of gusto?

Seeing as I’ve designed an entire email story series around the concept of gusto, I thought it might be helpful to share a quick definition of what this intriguing word has come to mean in modern parlance.

‘Gusto’ definition

gusto;  noun

1. enthusiasm, passion, excitement, eagerness

2. an intangible yet unmistakable positive energy

3. a creative fuel

‘Going for it with gusto’ means going after something with great passion, enthusiasm and an inspired energy.

To give you a sense of this wonderful word and its usage in popular culture, here are a few famous quotes and wise words from some fellow creative minds…

every single hour of every single day
until you reach your goal.”

~ Ava DuVernay

Live today with gusto.”

Don’t do anything half-heartedly.

“You’ve gotta go for it, and go for it with gusto.”
