I regularly recommend them to my clients as a tool for both education and inspiration.
And they are an easy way to enjoy more books if life is busy – audiobooks are highly workout/commute/morning routine-friendly.
My favourites are usually the ones when the author narrates, especially when they’re as gifted a narrator as they are author.
Deepak Chopra is one such favourite.
I love his enthusiasm and playfulness and his accent.
I always opt for his books in audiobook format* and some of them I’ve listened to dozens of times.
Because the creative life – much as I love it – does have its challenges and I find Deepak’s tips on how to succeed, prosper and be happy are particularly helpful for those of us signed up to this bumpy journey.
His ideas and wisdom have sparked numerous insights that have soothed my soul and eased the struggles in my creative adventures and I feel sure they will do the same for you.
So, if you’re looking for inspiring books to listen to, and you’re keen to know more about spirituality, our divine nature and creative power or simply how to live a fulfilling, healthy and happy life, here are three short reviews of three of my favourites from Dr Chopra…

My 3 favourite Deepak Chopra audiobooks for success, affluence & happiness
1. The Seven Spiritual Laws of Success
This is my all-time favourite Deepak Chopra audiobook – I’ve lost count of how many times I’ve listened to it.
It’s quite short, about 90 minutes, but it explains Deepak’s Seven Laws theory based on his background and studies in Eastern teachings on Pure Potentiality, Giving, Karma, Ease, Intention, Desire, Detachment and Dharma (my favourite).
My favourite quote is:
“This moment is as it should be, because the whole universe is as it should be.”
Another audiobook that I’ve listened to over and over, and I pick up something new with each listen.
Again, it’s quite short – less than an hour – but Deepak packs in a huge amount of wisdom for living a healthier and wealthier life.
I love the A-to-Z format and we’re advised to choose one idea to focus on each day until they become ingrained in our minds as a natural and spontaneous wealth consciousness.
He promises that simply thinking about these ideas will spark an “an effortless ease with which wealth and affluence come into your life.”
(So refreshing to see the words effortless ease and wealth in the same sentence… Hustle and force are not Deepak’s Way!)
My favourite quote is:
“Each of us has a dharma, a purpose in life.
When we are in dharma, we enjoy and love our work.”
The Ultimate Happiness Prescription is a bit longer than that previous two recommendations – 2 hours and 30 minutes – and it’s a more in-depth exploration of one theme: happiness.
Using his experience as a doctor – as well as his vast wisdom of spirituality and quantum theory – Deepak offers us his 7-step guide for living happily and well.
Topics include mindfulness, self-esteem, our physical bodies, detachment and enlightenment.
My favourite quote is:
“The purpose of life is the expansion of happiness. Happiness is the goal of every other goal”
So, I hope you’ll explore these fab audiobooks – or if you have your own favourites, I’d love to hear!
